| Dexter Bean, who began his racing career on go-kart tracks in La Crosse and Westby, Wisconsin at the tender age of 10, has dreamed of the day he would be able to be behind the wheel of a car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. While Bean was racing go-karts in various divisions throughout his home State of Wisconsin, he learned to prepare his kart before each race and even did most of the work himself. Bean also gained a wealth of experience working on the pit crew for his father's late model, AutoZone Elite Midwest Series, and ITEMS cars. After turning 16, Bean followed in his fathers footsteps and took on a tougher challenge by racing full-bodied late model stock cars for his family's BlackJack Racing Team. Since then, Bean has raced in the Wisconsin Challenge Series, the MARS Series, the Toyota All-Star Showdown, the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Midwest Division, and the ARCA RE/MAX Series; making a name for himself along the way. This year Bean will finally fulfill his dream of becoming a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver. |

ABOUT BlackJack Racing:
BlackJack Racing was built, in 2001, on the hopes, dreams, and lucky hand of blackjack, of David Bean. With the prize money dealt to him from his winning hand, Bean decided to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a racecar driver and created BlackJack Racing. Little did Bean know when he started racing, he would be creating a family tradition. Beans first ventures in a racecar led him to the Rookie of the Year honors at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway. For the next couple of years David raced his way up the ladder to the NASCAR AutoZone Elite Midwest Division and often fielded a second car. By this point, his son, Dexter was at the age of 16 and had been by his dads side throughout his entire racing career. While he was fulfilling his childhood dream David had met many valuable contacts and felt it was time to share the dream with his son by letting him take the wheel. Dexter began racing at the same tracks his father had once raced at. Although they are both drivers, only on one occasion have they ever raced together and that happened to be on Fathers Day. In this one and only race between the two they finished first and second with David taking the checkered flag first. If you ask Dexter, to this day, he will still say, I let him win because it was Fathers Day. The father and son duo have attained quite a reputation after their most recent finish of third in the ARCA Re/Max Series championship standings, with their family owned and operated team. They will now try their hand in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. It is only fitting that Dexter will make his Sprint Cup Series debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. |
