Mooresville, NC (10.14.08) - The Team GLOCK crew arrived in Toledo, Ohio for the season finale race in the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series. They had finished 3rd in the spring event at the Toledo Speedway and were dead set on bettering that finish.

Team owner Jeff Spraker and his crew had prepared the same chassis that
was utilized at the May event. It had also recorded a top - five finish at Cayuga and Salem earlier in the 2008 season.

As the practice session concluded, it looked like Team GLOCK was well
positioned to accomplish their goal. Dexter posted the fifth fastest
time in practice with a lap of 16.239 and 110.844 mph. He then drew to
qualify 42nd out of 43 cars to make the 35 car starting field. Dexter
roared to sixth place on the first lap of qualifying and just missed the pole position by a mere .054 seconds with a lap of 15.914 seconds at 113.108 mph - qualifying second.

The race started off with an early lap five caution. As Dexter was
directed to slow down for the yellow flag, he was tapped from behind
which sent him spinning off of the fourth turn. Although Dexter did not cause the caution, the ARCA officials placed the Team GLOCK Chevrolet in the 15th position for the restart.

As Dexter began to work his way to the front, he was tagged by the car
he was passing which caused him once again to spin into the wall where
he sustained severe damage to the rear end and all of the rear end
suspension. From this point forward, it was a matter of trying to survive to the end of the race with a badly damaged car. The crew made
all of the repairs possible in order to finish the event, but all hopes
for a podium finish had been erased.

The race turned into a caution - laden slug fest that resulted in the
two top drivers in points being eliminated from title contention.
Almost half of the starting field was involved in some type of on -
track altercation and the Team GLOCK Chevy was no exception. The final
run - down listed Dexter Bean as the 21st place finisher.

Team owner Jeff Spraker commented, "We thought that the outside pole
position would help to keep us out of trouble early in the event - you
really don't expect a third place starter to spin you out on the fifth
lap, under caution! But, we were still confident that Dexter would
drive right back to the front with this car. Unfortunately, we were
taken out again, but this time the damage was so significant that our
only option was to log as many laps as possible in order to finish the
race. This is not the way we wanted to end the season, but both of
these incidents were out of our control and we know that this driver and team were capable of winning today. It's difficult to accept that
there won't be another race next week where we could do just that."
